CIMCORP LAYER PICKING —
Ideal for high-rate, high-SKU layer picking applications
The layer picking solution combines our large, fast gantry robots with an end effector developed to pick most consumer products in the global marketplace.
The success of a distribution center is reliant upon the speed at which it can get its products to its customers. Because many retail outlets look to stock more variety and fewer quantities of each product, it is vital for warehouses to quickly and accurately fulfill incoming orders and keep the store shelves stocked.
Our layer pick system has the ability to pick a near limitless variety of products, access a large volume of inventory with a single machine, and create customer orders in any sequence desired. By staging all SKUs directly inside the robotic cell, customer order pallets can be built in any sequence at any time. Some of our customers are also using this unique feature to directly load pallets into trailers, which eliminates the need for staging orders on the dock.
A unique aspect of the solution is the ability to pick up one layer, multiple layers, and even entire pallet loads of product to build rainbow pallets. The system is currently being used for large distribution centers in consumer goods and the food and beverage industry and can be applied in any distribution center shipping volume in layer quantities.
Application areas
The layer pick system is currently used for large distribution centers in consumer goods and the food and beverage industry and can be applied in any distribution center shipping volume in layer quantities. The layer pick system is ideally suited for facilities that pick more than 1,000 layers per day from 50-500 SKUs.
