CIMCORP CAREERS —

Passion for stats

Adam started programming in high school and discovered he had a knack for it. That’s where his journey with software development began. However, it was his passion for stats and enthusiasm for problem solving that led him to join Cimcorp three years ago as a Software Application Developer.

Adam's passion for stats and numbers extends to his personal life. An avid baseball player since he was four, Adam plays and even manages a baseball team. So what makes Adam different from any other baseball fan? It’s his ability to take those stats, create patterns and come up with solutions. “Baseball is a game all about numbers; it’s the sport with the most detailed and meaningful stats.”

“I like the variety and having different challenges every day. There’s a feeling of satisfaction when you figure it out.”

As a hobby, Adam enjoys playing Strat-O-Matic Baseball. The card game is the most realistic simulation of statistically accurate baseball. Adam created a software to find the best cards that helped him win the World Series in 2012. During his interview with Cimcorp, Adam mentioned his success with the software he created. The story stuck with Rick Trigatti, President of Cimcorp North America. When a project required a Robotics Systems Planner, Rick knew that Adam’s skills and motivation would make him an excellent fit for the job.

Teamwork and variety

Adam works closely with Derek Rickard, Distribution Systems Manager and Tom Pollard, Warehouse Systems Applications Manager. “It’s an easygoing environment and we get a lot done.” As a team they identify customer challenges, scope out projects and present solutions. Adam creates budgets, quotes and proposals. He also analyzes robot rates and comes up with strategies to meet customer goals. He enjoys being able to travel to customer sites to present his solutions and ensure there aren’t any obstacles that could interfere with the project.

What motivates you?

“Finding the irregularity, that twist in thinking that makes the whole solution viable, and then proving it to the customer!”

Adam, Robotics System Planner
