Cimcorp Automation Ltd. is looking for a Robotic Systems Planner. This position is responsible for developing technical solutions to material handling and warehouse automation problems.

The Robotic Systems Planner works closely with Sales Managers in scoping, budgeting, and securing projects. This position will brainstorm and develop innovative solutions to suit customer needs, provide data analysis and material flow calculations as well as assist with technology selection and project cost estimation. The Robotic Systems Planner will work with 3rd party technology vendors to obtain cost estimates and to ensure 3rd party equipment meets the project design specifications.


The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience working in an industrial/engineering/automation industry in a system planning capacity.
  • Ability to create and develop innovative solutions for automation systems equipment to meet customer goals.
  • Experience with industrial automation including general knowledge of PLCs, and software.
  • Experience with industrial robots, ASRS, and conveyor systems.
  • Strong ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to produce data analysis and material flow calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of multi-function team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to deal courteously and effectively with all levels of staff, the public, customers, partners, and any other potential stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills, discretion, and demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment when handling confidential/sensitive information and communicating with customers regarding controversial matters.
  • Effective organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills, with ability to prioritize work to meet the Sales teams’ deadlines without compromising service.
  • High degree of accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge in AutoCAD and Visual Studio applications.
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
