Cimcorp Automation is looking for a Manufacturing Manager. This position is responsible to oversee all manufacturing and assembly activities being performed on the shop floor at Cimcorp as well as assist with the planning and execution of Cimcorp projects at vendors and at site.

This involves the hands on assistance and management of the mechanical and electrical assembly of Cimcorp equipment. The Manufacturing Manager works closely with Project Managers and Lead Hands to assist with the planning phase of installations including equipment delivery scheduling, resource allocation, as well as assisting in the securing of qualified contractors for work required at site. In collaboration with the President, the Manufacturing Manager participates in the strategic planning and continued growth of the Mechanical and Electrical Shop departments.


The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree specializing in machine building, millwright or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a production, shop supervision role; in a machine building and assembly industry.
  • Advanced skills in the electrical and mechanical build of large automation equipment is necessary.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in the area of industrial automation with a commitment to stay up to date with current technology to position Cimcorp as an industry leader.
  • General knowledge of material handling systems, automation control systems and basic robot operations including mechanical, electrical, software and conveyor systems.
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication processes, welding, machining, and structural rigging.
  • Strong ability to read technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated management, leadership, and delegation skills with the ability to supervise and lead a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to make educated decisions quickly.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to foresee obstacles, analyze problems, understand facts, and determine the root cause.
  • Advanced customer service orientation with a focus on ensuring provision of effective professional services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of multi-function team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to deal courteously and effectively with all levels of staff, potential clients, vendors, partners, and any other potential stakeholders.
  • Problem solving skills, discretion, diplomacy and a demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement when handling confidential / sensitive information in communication with internal and external clients.
  • Practical experience using Enterprise Resource and / or Material Resource Planning systems is an asset.
