Cimcorp’s product portfolio for the automation of tire plants includes also tire stackers and destackers.

Tires have to be stacked or destacked in many different stages at a tire plant. When larger handling volumes are required, tires are generally stacked and moved onwards in stacks. On the other hand, tires enter process machinery, for example uniformity testing, as individual tires, so stacks are turned into a flow of tires for this purpose.

The Cimcorp stacker has the same kind of gripper as a TyrePick robot. A stack of tires is collected in the gripper by picking the tires up one at a time. The destacker releases one tire at a time from the top of the stack or from the bottom to suit the application.

The stackers and destackers are based on Cimcorp robot modules.
